Interfaith Action of Southwest Michigan invites you to join us for a special virtual program with Rev. Michael Kinnamon, PhD on Thursday, November 6 at 6:00 PM ET.

Dr. Kinnamon will explore how fiction can serve as a powerful tool for interfaith understanding, using his recent novel, A Rooftop in Jerusalem, as a starting point for conversation. Participants are invited to read Rev. Kinnamon’s novel in preparation for this conversation. You can find the book here.

About the Speaker:

Rev. Michael Kinnamon is the author of three novels, including Summer of Love and Evil (2021), The Nominee (2024), and A Rooftop in Jerusalem (2024), which draws on his extensive experience in the Middle East. Before turning to fiction, Dr. Kinnamon was a widely respected professor of theology, a leading voice in ecumenical and interfaith relations, and served as general secretary of the National Council of Churches in the U.S. He and his wife, Mardine Davis, an art consultant, live in San Diego. This program will be an opportunity to reflect on the ways storytelling can deepen empathy, bridge divides, and open new paths for dialogue across traditions.

Date & Time: Thursday, November 6, 6:00 PM ET

Location: Virtual (Registration Link) We hope you’ll join us for this rich and timely conversation.
