Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

Each passing year brings new resolutions, goals, and intentions. Many of us welcome the opportunity to imagine what could be. We see ourselves exercising regularly and eating healthy. We see ourselves mending broken relationships or opening up to new ones. We see new job and educational opportunities. We see endless possibilities. But all too often our ability to imagine is cut short, and the reality of what is overshadows the hope of what could be.

At this moment, Interfaith Action is also imagining. We are imagining a more just and peaceful Southwest Michigan, nation, and world. We are seeing communities with greater access to clean water. We are seeing a decrease in bullying and discrimination in our schools. We are seeing our communities welcome those seeking a better life as friends and neighbors. We are seeing peace where there is pain. We are seeing a more sustainable future for generations to come.

This is what we imagine. The exciting part about participating in a group like Interfaith Action is that we don’t allow reality to overshadow the hope of what could be. We act.

As a group we are excited about taking practical steps to make what we imagine a reality.
