Dignity of All.

Interfaith Action believes in creating inclusive communities where all people are valued, accepted, and celebrated regardless of their race, religion, class, gender identity, or sexual orientation . Our Dignity of All working group promotes inclusion and justice to counter discrimination and discriminatory practice that hinder the well-being and ability of anyone to live a life of dignity.

Current Campaigns:

  1. Tiny Houses for Big Change: is an organization started at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Benton Harbor.  Its purpose is to impact homelessness in Southwest Michigan.  It began with a group of children at St. Augustine’s who wanted to build a tiny house for a neighbor experiencing homelessness, and it took off from there.  Now they’re partnering with Interfaith Action, Andrews University architecture students and Harbor Habitat, as well as generous donors, to put the plan into action.  Through grants and giving, they have raised over $28,000.  They won’t stop there though.  The kids want to keep building tiny houses for people experiencing homelessness in our community well after the first is built.

  2. Affirming Communities Map: Dignity of All has created a map of LGBTQ+ affirming faith communities in Allegan, Berrien, Cass and Van Buren Counties. This is available for download as a resource for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies.
